Why this directory exists
Founders shopping for finance software hit the same wall: every vendor claims to be the only dashboard a CFO needs, the comparison pages are vendor-written, and the buyer guides are usually repackaged affiliate content. The CFO Tools Directory is our answer to that — a single, vendor-aware but vendor-neutral index where every link points to content we actually wrote, scored against a clear methodology, and refreshed in 2026 against current pricing.
The directory is split into four layers so you can pick the depth you need. If you only have 5 minutes, start with the Free Tools grid and run your numbers through the Health Scorecard. Every entry below is either built in-house by the CFO Tech Stack team or independently reviewed against published pricing pages — we do not list tools we have not tested. The directory is updated quarterly; the last refresh was July 2026 and the next is scheduled for October 2026.
